Growing up I tried to be a musician. Even though I had a good run with the guitar, which included a brief attempt at a high school basement band, no instrument stuck. Despite abandoning band and choir, I developed an ever-growing obsession with discovering new music. I listen to mostly anything except country, because, well, country isn’t music. Hey-O! I went there! Also, I make playlists for everything, because music makes things wonderful, adding that little something like a cocoa powder dusting. So here’s my year-long listening list, including some new ones and old favorites and albums that stay(ed) on repeat for months.
